Ayahuasca is a tea made from a mixture of Amazonian herbs, which is capable of causing changes in consciousness. This drink contains some substances known for their enthogenic potential, such as DMT, which act on the nervous system, causing states of expanded consciousness, which leads people to have visions related to their own feelings, fears and experiences. The person remains conscious and lucid at all times, knowing everything that is happening at all times, as hyperlucidity occurs.

Because it has this effect, the drink is used as a cleansing ritual, in which the person opens their mind and has the opportunity to face their problems with greater clarity.
